Describe the first step you would take in solving 12=7-3x+5x

i would say to first to combine like terms -3x+5x which is 2x then, it looks like this 12= 7 + 2x next subtract 7 from both sides of the equation it will look like this then 5= 2x then divide 5/2=x the solution is 2.5=x Hope this helps :-)
