If I copy 2-3 paragraphs of research (word for word) and still cite, is it still plagiarism because I just copied basically the whole body of an essay?

No. It's only plagiarism if you make it look like you wrote it. If you cite the source, you're good to go. (It's probably not a good idea to do that for the whole body of an essay though, that's a lot.)

Yeah I won't do the whole entire body, but I *might* use one paragraph of it since I cant find any info on the certain topic. Thanks though

One paragraph is perfectly fine. It all depends on the length of the essay though. You're welcome.
