1/9 x - 2/9 = -5/9

hartnn (hartnn):

multiply 9 throughout, what do u get ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add 2/9 to both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply everything by nine so you do not have to work with fractions which will give you 1x-2=-5 and then just solve for x by adding the 2 to the side with -5 to get x=-3
