Please help The sale price of a coat is $33. The regular price was $75. What Is the percent off the regular price item?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

So lets first find the amount of the discount (the actual $ amount). Then after that, we'll take that $ amount, divide it by the regular price. Then multiply by 100 to get a percent! :) This is the percentage of the discount :D Lemme know if that's confusing.

No I think I get it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you find the actual discount

zepdrix (zepdrix):

the price of the coat was 75 subtract from that, the new price.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then what do you do

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Read my first comment! :) lol
