OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

What are some reactions that are catalyzed with Platinum

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well platinum is used as a catalyst in an addition reaction - hydrogenation..when hydrogen is reacted with ethylene not sure if this is what you wanted tho

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

that is exactly what i want, what are some other general cases ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hm..another reaction with platinum?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Platinum has a tendency to hold hydrogen as single atoms so that reagents could react with atomic(more reactive) hydrogen easily. That wolud probably make you understand.
