Write a polynomial function of minimum degree in standard form with real coefficients whose zeros and their multiplicities include those listed. 1(multiplicity 2), -2(multiplicity 3) *** I don't even know why multiplicity means.

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

if polynomial has factors like, (x-1)^2, then we say the zero 1 has a multiplicity of 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhh. So the first one is (x-1)^2 and the other one is (x+-2)^3?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

first one is right

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

second one is just (x+2)^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. Are those the only two that I use?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay and then I just multiply those to get it in standard form, right?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks :)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

np :)
