1. How did Frederick Douglas, Nat Turner, and Harriet Tubman, responses to slavery differ? 2. Who do you think was most effective in getting his message across?
1. Frederick Douglas used his speaking abilities to persuade people slavery was wrong and that they should make laws against slavery. Nat Turner created a slave rebellion to rebel against their owners, so he resorted to violence. Harriet Tubman helped slaves escape from bondage using the Underground Railroad. 2. Frederick Douglas was probbbly the most effective because he used his ability to speak and his experience as a former slave to persuade others to show the evils of slavery and to get people to vote against it. He also spread his message to not only the US, but also to Great Britain.
