Said in newbie language (i am one:) ), u have the interpreteer (Python) and GUI --> IDLE . Usually ppl use IDLE ,even if i heard of some using the blocknote or smthing . You can use directly Python for small pieces of code or as a calculator..or IDLE for creating your code and saving it in example.py format. please refer to this FAQ created by Chris (and a bit me xD) for further info .(like where to download python.) http://openstudy.com/study?version=feed:join-study-group&referrer=mit%206.00%20intro%20computer%20science%20(ocw)&domain=ocw.mit.edu#/updates/50658439e4b0f9e4be28153b Basically to use IDLE u just write ur code and then Run it (F5). (Will promt you to save ...save it as name.py format).

thanks. I realised I had a specific eBook for using python and GUI's. But thanks for both of your responses. I'm loving the idea of this OpenStudy thing.
