Which sections must be referred from gilbert strang book for linear algebra for lectures 1 and2?

Lecture 1 is from section 1.1 to 1.3 (I don't think cyclic was mentioned in Lecture 1)

Lecture 2 is from Section 2.2

These are my rough estimation. What I did with his lecture was I watched up to Lecture 5, then I went back to the book from chapter 1 to 2. The 5 video lectures covered Chapter 1 to 2. The videos give good idea and the books add in more details so they complement each other. I hope this helps!
