Do i also count the 0 in the number table?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (phi):

looks like it. they say they gave you numbers for 28 stocks. Some of them must not have dividends

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the smallest # would be 0 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if so then the 5 # summary would be 0,0.2,1.21,2.65,& 3.62 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm getting different numbers for Q1 and Q3. I'll double-check . .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, yes, you need to compute the medians of the lower and upper halves again. The lower and upper halves contain even entries, so you must take the mean of the two values in the middle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so is it 0,0.23,1.21,2.43, & 3.62?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, that looks like it. :-)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i can't figuer out which boxplot tho.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It should be the boxplot that spans that 5-number summary. :-/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which one has its median around 1.2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it's A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think the answer for (c) is C is that right?

OpenStudy (phi):

to find the correct plot, mark the 5 numbers you found on the number line look for the plot that lines up best with your marks.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm just gunna go with A.
