nope i'm completely lost and this homework is due in an hour & i still have 6 more Q.
if the absolute value of (correlation coefficient) is close to 1, then the x and y variables have a linear relatonship. if it is closer to zero, then no relationship. positive or negative cc implies a positive/negative slope in the linear relationship
given that, what would you pick as your answer?

yes.... c or d "looks" like you could fit a line....
that's what the correlation coefficient does... if it's closer to 1 or -1, it will "look" like a line.
