I don't even know were to start with this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know what a correlation coefficient is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope i'm completely lost and this homework is due in an hour & i still have 6 more Q.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if the absolute value of (correlation coefficient) is close to 1, then the x and y variables have a linear relatonship. if it is closer to zero, then no relationship. positive or negative cc implies a positive/negative slope in the linear relationship

OpenStudy (anonymous):

given that, what would you pick as your answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i didn't understand any of that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which one of those graphs "looks" like it would be a line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

C or D i think.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.... c or d "looks" like you could fit a line....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's what the correlation coefficient does... if it's closer to 1 or -1, it will "look" like a line.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the R is - so is the answer C?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes....:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THX!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yw...:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i still have more Q if u feel like helping! lol
