Simplify

OpenStudy (amorfide):

to simplify this you want to get rid of the fraction on the bottom to do this you will mutliply by 1 1 in this question shall be 30/30 multiply top and bottom by 30/30 this cancels out the 30 on the bottom then after you finish that you will multiply by 1 again but this time it will be 6/6 then you will simplify

The answer is A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since you're dividing, you have to multiply by the reciprocal:\[\large{{{y\over6}\over{7y^2\over30}}~~~~\implies~~~~{y\over6}\times{30\over7y^2}}\]just multiply straight across giving you\[\large{30y\over 42y^2}\]now using the exponent properties, simplify \[\large{5\over 7y}\] :)

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

option a

an of course y cannot equal zero because that would make zero the denominator and the denominator cant be zero :)
