x=2v-3y SOlve for Y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3y=2v-x y=2v-x/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did u do it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First of all you want the y so you take the y to the other side along with the 3 and swap it with x so x will become -x and -3y will become 3y.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So you have 3y=2v-x All whats left is to seperate the 3 from the y and since 3 is in multiplication state with y we will take the 3 and and it will change into division state to become: \[y=\frac{ 2v-x }{ 3 }\]

Rule: Sign changes when the move across the = sign. For example + will be - or vice versa and * will / or vice versa

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y =-\frac{ 1 }{ 3 }x+2v\]
