Car A starts from rest from a given point 20 seconds before a second car B passes the same point at 15 mps. If car a uniformly accelerates at 0.2 mps^2 and car b decelerates at .4 mps^2, at what distance from the given point will the cars pass each other?

please help....

You are given constant acceleration. You need to use integration to find the position functions of each car with respect to time. Then set the functions equal to each other and solve for time.

When you integrate, you will end up with some unknown constants. These can be solved for by using other information in the problem, such as 'Car A starts at rest' etc.
