The hexagon GIKMPR and nar001-1.jpgFJN are regular. The dashed line segments form 30° angles. diagram of an hexagon with a triangle inside of it Find the image of line OQ after a rotation of 180° about point O. (1 point) line ON line OH line OJ line OL

OpenStudy (theeric):

Do you have a picture?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

rotating by 180 degrees means rotating the line segment OQ halfway around the shape.

OpenStudy (theeric):

Sort of like turning a hand of a clock, rotating about point O.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so, what do you think the correct answer is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think is it OJ but not sure.....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think you are right :) The first point stays the same, so you need a segment that is O_ because you aren't moving the whole line segment, just holding it fixed at point O (because they said "rotate around point O"). So when you rotate that "OQ" segment like a hand on an old-school clock, you end up with a line segment starting again at O and ending at J. Good work :)

thankyou again your great help!(:

Always happy to help... good luck!
