On a diving exercise, a submarine rose 20 ft, dove 40 ft, rose 7 ft, and rose 13 ft. What was the change in depth after the excercise? Can someone write and solve an equation showing all your steps? thanks!!
So why do you want someone to write and solve the equation? Are you actually piloting a submarine, or is this homework? If it's homework then you should try to figure it out on your own. We will help you with the parts you can't figure out yourself.
they are for corrections, and i need help with all of it
Isn't this just a subtraction/addition problem?
Start with 0, when it rises add the number, when it dives, subtract the number. What is your final number?
All you have to do is draw a picture. What part are you stuff at?
@*cat* try drawing yourself a little picture of the sub going up and down... maybe put it on a vertical number line. then see if you can get the idea and the equation
cool, i'll try it out. thanks!!!
