in 2008, a cure for cancer walk sold 21 pink sponsorship and 10 gold sponserships for a total of $770. in 2009 the walk collected $840 by selling 7 pink sponserships and 20 gold sponserships. what is the cost of one pink sponsership? PLEASEEEE HELPPPP !

zepdrix (zepdrix):

A pink sponsorship = P A gold sponsorship = G 21P + 10G = 770 <-- 21 pink + 10 Gold totaled $770 7P + 20G = 840 <-- 7 pink + 20 Gold totaled $840 Hmm so we have a system of equations! :) It seems like Elimination will work very nicely on this one. Need help with the setup?
