let there are 'x' seeds contained in the bag
given bag of bird seed is equally divided into 4
i.e. x/4
and each has 4 ounces
hence
$$\frac{ x }{ 4 } = 6$$
$$x = 24$$ represents total number of seeds present in the bag odf seeds ;)
