Factor 6x^9-30x^7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First, factor out the 6x^7. You'll then have (6)(x^7)(x^2 - 5). All you have left is last factor to do.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i facroture it into a polynomial

OpenStudy (anonymous):

factor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can either leave it the way I have it or factor out hte last factor which has an x^2 in it. The last roots would be irrational but real.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be 2x^7 and divided the whole numbers by that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't understand your last question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand how the final answer will come out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All you have left is to factor (x^2 - 5). Here, x is +-sqrt(5) because it takes the form of (x - sqrt[5])(x + sqrt[5])
