Karen massed an object three times, using the same equal-arm balance and gram masses. Her results were 18.324 g, 18.308 g, and 18.342. How could she best report the mass of the object?

In science, no measurement is absolutely accurate. To account for these inaccuracies, we measure things multiple times. This gives us a statistical population. We can represent the value of a population by finding the average (or mean) of all the values in the population. (18.324+18.308+18.342)/3
