is the answer 28 x 5=141.5

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

Because thats not right

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

28 times 5 = 140

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but if we are looking for 5 ounces of compound and we have 113.2 grams for four ounces. We divided 113.2/4 and I got 28.3 and then I multiply that by five and I get 141.5.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry 28.3 x 5 = 141.5

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

Oh ok That makes much more sense and it is right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay awesome and this is how we solve the problem?

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

you need another ounce because you only have 4 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

Nevermind

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the problem is : there are 113.2 grams in 4 ounces of compound. How many grams are in 5ounces of compound. So we did 113.2 / 4 and then multiplied the answer by five. Is that right?

An architect built a model of a 220 foot building he is designing. The model is 25 inches tall and 10 inches wide. How wide is the actual building?

OpenStudy (geometry_hater):

Ok sorry for leaving you there i was working with someone else and i think its right because you got how many grams there is per ouce so you multiply that by 5 to get your answer so that is right.
