Can I flip around an equation? I need y=mx+b so...Can i do this? y=200-10x ..Which i change to y=10x-200 ? I'm confused =/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup, its the same exact thing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you explain why? o;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just confuses me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

remember, you cant just move the numbers around the negative sign. the negative sign APPLIES to a number, so the - has to stay with the 10x. it has to be -10x+200. the 200 is still positive also, howd you conclude that @PINAY17?

Thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

remember, dont just look at what i gave you, listen to wat im saying. the negative stays with the number when you move it around, same thing with the positive on the 200

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didnt get that. I kept being showed how..but no one actually explained what happened...So it would be y=-10x+200

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got it, Thanks a ton, This will help with school.

yes, np
