You could put samples in dishes, put them side by side (i.e., subject to the same environmental influences like temperature, sunlight, bacteria, etc.) and compare how long it takes each sample to go bad...

You're welcome. :) You might go into some more details but that should give you an idea. Like what would happen if you repeated the experiment - but instead of equal volumes of powdered milk and rehydrated milk in two glasses side by side, you put an equal volume of *milk powder* in two glasses, poured a lot more water into the rehydrated sample, and then saw what happened.... Or repeated the experiment, but explored other factors. Like put these samples in a warmer room. Or a colder one. Or kept them in the dark or in sunlight...
