Use interval notation to indicate where f(x) is differentiable. If it is differentiable on more than one interval, use U for union graph: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v329/darkmare/6BXOEFIYK104-1038-setAssignment3prob5image1.png

I thought it was [-2,-1) U (-1, 0) U (0,1) U (1,3] U [4,5] but apparently thats not the right answer and I dont know where i'm going wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is not differentiable at -2 so that interval should be open

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not differentiable at 3 either because of the corner

OpenStudy (anonymous):

make your intervals open and i don't see 5 on it \((3,4)\) for the last one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow I dont know how I didnt see that... Thank you!!! Apparently I needed an extra set of eyes :p
