For edx you want to go here http://www.enthought.com/products/epd_free.php For ocw you can use above or go here http://www.python.org/download/ Either way, 2.7.x should be sufficient as long as it is not 3.x or above.

I suggested to another member to go to this link: http://www.python.org/download/releases/2.7.3/ and download this version Windows x86 MSI Installer (2.7.3) (sig). It's the one that I was directed to and it works just fine for Windows. If you have a Mac, then download the Mac version on the page.
