Can someone please answer this? x2-9x+20=0 .

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

in order to factor this expression you need two numbers a and b where ab = 20 and a + b = -9 the factors would then be of the form (x - a)(x - b)

By the way, it's all about descriminant.

hartnn (hartnn):

does that mean u need to use quadratic formula?

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

well this one can be solved by factoring

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@hartnn no need quadratic formula.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

actually this must be solved by descriminant.
