AMFA V.S Early European Guilds.........
The aircraft mechanic fraternal association or AMFA for short and early European guilds share a similar bond. You’re probably asking, “How can this be?” Well both groups are similar in the sense that it is both their goal to bring people together who do the same jobs and trades. Back in the early years when European guilds started forming, it was place for people to come and talk about how production for their specialty is coming along, etc. For example, farmers could visit their guild and could discuss which crop is in season or get ideas on how to keep the dear at bay. This is the same for modern day AMFA in the sense that aircraft mechanics can come together and discuss certain topics about what their working on. For example, AMFA is a place where some mechanics that are just starting out in this career can come and get tips and be taught technics hands-on from other mechanics about working on certain aircrafts. Both Guilds and AMFA are structured, there are contracts involved, and its members have to pay monthly fees. However, these two groups could be closely related to a brotherhood. AMFA and early European guilds are also different from each other and it’s clear why. Early European guilds were centered on religion. Every Sunday, the guilds would go to church together and celebrate religious holidays as a group. My research tells me that in the guilds, there was always a chaplain on call and members of the guilds would perform religious services. This was simply routine for each early guild. However, in the information that I found on the AMFA, nowhere does it say that this group is centered on religion. This is the big difference between the two groups because back in the early times, religion was a very big thing in almost every town of Europe but now we see that groups such as the AMFA are not closely knit by religion. The meetings that are held at the AMFA are about money and their career as an aircraft mechanic, not about holding mass, praying, or celebrating a religious holiday.
In my opinion, it was very well written. Good job! (:
Thanks :D I submitted it, I hope I get a good grade lol
