find the prob. that a 13-card bridge hand (selected at random w/o replacement) contains 2clubs, 3hearts, 4diamonds and 4 spades. can i use combination here?

Yes, combination means you won't care about order... which makes sense for a card hand... you can be dealt the cards in any order. Any hand with that "combination" of cards is equivalent.
