If you mean, dual boot (you install two Operating Systems in your PC for example : Windows and Linux), then when you boot you will get a menu to choose from it.

Install Windows XP in a partition and then install Windows 7 in another partition. The system will create a boot loader and allow you to choose at startup which OS you want to use (a menu and you select the OS you want).
