5x/8+10=2 x=?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ 5x }{ 8 } + 10 = 2 \] ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or +10 are also in the denominator ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its 5 x divided by 8 + 10 which = 2 want to know what x is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so \[\frac{ 5x }{ 8 + 10 } = 2\] ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is my first one or last one correct ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ill assume its the first \[\frac{ 5x }{ 8 } + 10 = 2\] multiply the equation by 8 and get : \[5x + 80 = 16\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now you have to subtract 80 from both sides of the equation then divide both sides of the equation by 5 what do you get ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5x+-64?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5x = -64 now divide both sides by 5
