How do you factorize brackets? Someone explain it to me thanks :) xx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean by "factorize brackets"? Could you please give me a example

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, this is on my sheet. 4a+10 and you have to write your answer like this __ (______)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

find the GCD of 4 and 10 !!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You look for common factors, example... a only exists in one term so you can't break it out. However, just as tanjung said, find the GCD(4,10) and break it out of the bracket. So GCD here is 2 since both 4 and 10 are divisible by 2 so the answer is: 2(2a+5)

wat? I can't believe this u make it sound easy. I'm crap at maths but most of the time if u ask me something bout science or history I can get it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So wat's the GCD mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Greatest Common Divisor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay thanks x

OpenStudy (anonymous):
