If there was any place I could live – Charlotte , NC If there was any place I could live it would have to be without a doubt “Queen City”, which most people know as Charlotte, NC. What make charlotte so special? I moved to charlotte at the age of 9 and everything about the place fascinated me. You can always expect to wake up every day to the perfect weather to accompany each Season. Also, there are countless ways to enjoy yourself from the South Charlotte Recreation parks to the local YMCA centers. Everything you could possibly imagine or need is located in this city and getting around was never a problem. Furthermore, in this troubling economy this is one of those places that I would always consider returning to either for its stable Job conditions or its rising development in UNC -Charlotte: a great school I would love to attend. One of my biggest influences in choosing Charlotte is because of my past experiences living there before. I have fond memories as child where every day I would run to my friend’s house that always had no less than 5 people packed into his room all waiting for a turn to play his game cube. Then, we would dash to the swimming pool which was excellently taken care of despite of it belonging to the whole neighborhood. Cleanliness is a big decider for me as I’ve realized that the further south I go the less clean it seemed to be. Never once did I feel out of place or like an outsider. Also, Unlike Florida, charlotte actually had what I would call ACTIVE weather. Meaning you could feel and see spring in the air, the occasionally hot summer heat, and even my favorite winter Snow. I love to see Nature at its extremes. This is something that you rarely see in Jacksonville. Having fun and enjoying life was always part of my daily choices when we lived in Charlotte. There is never a bad day to do what you want to do in charlotte. Actually going to The U.S National White Water Center is definitely a dream of mine. Once there you can enjoy a plethora of activities In the Catawba Banks an immense outdoor recreational location. If hiking isn’t your thing how about Kayaking Down a rushing river, or even biking 14 miles through the pure beauty of its natural setting? If all that still wasn’t enough I could finish the month with a trip to Carowinds Amusement Park. As a child this was my very first Amusement park and to this day I can still remember my body spiraling out of control through the Wild Reptar Rugrats Ride which brings you on your head in and out of Dinosaur loops. Most importantly, my dream city wouldn’t be a dream city without the necessary things that will guarantee me a good future and great Life. I am excited about many colleges and UNC is one of them. Only 10 miles from Uptown it’s conveniently located to everything I would need. The Center city building is a 18,000 square foot building with 25 class rooms , an outdoor plaza, and to top it all of a 300 seat auditorium. I could easily navigate the campuses and be different by choosing to take the light rail or bus system as opposed to simply driving. And who could forget about food. At one of my favorite restaurants the Blue Restaurant and Bar I could choose from one of the most diverse menus with food from North Africa, Italy, Spain, and Greece. Who wouldn’t salivate at the thought of a “slow roasted lamb simmers in an aggressively seasoned blend of apricots”. I’m sure everyone has heard the saying “where Dreams come true”. I’m not much of a Disney fan but charlotte NC is where mine come true. The natural climate it offers is exactly what I need to keep focused and in the zone after a long day. The physical activities alone that the recreational places offer are enough to keep me well active for many years. Lastly, how can you go wrong with the wonderful and mind-blowing Carowinds amusement park that will have my family visiting time and time again? I wouldn’t mind living in Charlotte for the rest of my life.
