. Write an expression in simplest form for the area of a square with a side of 8x3 units.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The area of a square is equal to the side length times the side length I would think the area of this square would be A = (8x3) x (8x3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. 32x3 B. 24x12 C. 64x6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You could simplify that to be: \[A = (8^{2})(3^{2})\] But that would be 64 x 9 Is there a choice D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope only 3 choices. I think my teacher messed up my test.

I would agree, unfortunately. Answer c looks close, if you somehow write your "9" as an upside down 9, but this is no way to do math... :(

Thanks 4 ur help :)
