unit rate is -rate with denominator of 1 ratio is -comparison of two numbers by divison

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because of dividing in the problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Answers A, C, and D all have something other than "1" in the denominator. Answer B is "per pound"... meaning "per 1 pound".... just like "per 1 minute" in the last problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
