Hi guys, i met some probllem here...the question is : FIND THE EQUATION OF CIRCLE THAT TOUCHES THE LINE 5X+Y=3 AT POINT (2,-7) , AND ITS CENTRE IS LOCATED ON THE LINE X-2Y=19

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first, find the equation of the line that is perpendicular to 5x + y = 3 at (2, -7).... once you have that, find the intersection of that line with x - 2y = 19..... the intersection will give you the center of the circle. to find the radius, find the distance between the center and (2, -7).
