i need help with clearing equations pf fractions
of
\[\frac{ 2x }{ 15 }+\frac{ 5x }{ 25}-\frac{ 4x }{ 9 }+\frac{ x }{ 6 }=\frac{ 1 }{ 9 }\]
i have to find the lcd and multiply it by both sides?
but the 9 wont cancle out
using ktnguyen1's info from above: you need each value as many times as it appears: 2x3x3x5x5 = 450 this is LCD
after factoring i got x=2 but when i checked it it was wrong?
\[ \frac{ 2x }{ 15 }+\frac{ 5x }{ 25}-\frac{ 4x }{ 9 }+\frac{ x }{ 6 }=\frac{ 1 }{ 9 }\] multiply through by \(2\cdot3^25^2\) \[ 60x + 90x - 200x + 75x= 50 \] is that what you got (so far)?
that simplifies to 25x=50 and x= 2
yes that is what i got but when i checked it it was wrong
i got it thank you all
when I checked it (with a calculator) it works... so you must have goofed during the checking
