during a math test, how do you remember what formulas to use on which problems, and how the steps to get the correct answer? Im most likely going to fail my math test tomorrow :(
Practice, to get better at math for one is you need to practice over and over.
Remembering a formula is simply just memorizing. Or if you can say why am I doing or what do I need to do to figure out the problem. However, for me it is easiest to just to be able to rewrite it.
Aw :D what type of problems you working on aimme?
When I work on homework, I always write down the formulas then I sub my values. Every time you are writing down the formula, it helps you memorize them. Tell us which formulas you have to memorize and we can share tips with you.
I try to remember the simplest form of an equation. There is only so much you can stuff into your brain. Really works for me at least :)
yes, and sometimes remembering one formula can help you derive the others that you need.
Do you need more tips?
Its for intermediate algebra, and right now its the chapter on factoring binomials, trinomials, polynomials and all that. problems like 14x^(2) - 21x + 2x - 3. It should be simple, but it confuses me.
I love to factor, bring it........ I can help you
I can help for maybe 30 more minutes
I dont why i get so confused, cause in the classroom i understand all of it, but when doing homework or taking a test, I cant remember how to do anything, then my mind freaks out and I just do everything wrong. lol
