The course or dashboard never says how to turn in the assignments.

Are you talking about MIT 6.00 (OCW) or MITx 6.00x (EdX)? The OCW material doesn't have assignments to turn in, it's completely self-study. If you're talking about the EdX class, make sure you've signed up over there and enrolled in the class.

Cenazoic and Microbot are both correct. One thing I have to add is that on edx for the assignments, that are not done completely on the web page. They will be submitted (uploaded) likely via a link on the assignment page and likely to an 'auto-grader'.

inicoud, On Edx, as long as you are signed up for the course. The main corse materials will be under 'Courseware'. Once an assignment gets posted that needs to be turned in there will also be information on that assignment page as to how to turn in that particular assignment. Most likely a way to choose and upload your .py file

Aren't the assignments already posted? I see a list of 12 assignments. I received an email that stated that there was no homework due this first week. Just to install and get familiar with Python. And what is recitation about? I don't see anywhere to sign up for that and I thought we did that on Fridays???
