How would adding -dy/dx to the left side of the equation affect it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would bringing -dy/dx over to the left side affect what is inside the parenthesis?

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

because it cuts means it will cancel by taking opposite sign

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So it will totally cancel out the dy/dx on the left side, leaving only what is inside the parenthesis? Or will it cancel what is inside the parenthesis as well, leaving only 0 on the left side?

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

yaa it will cancel

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So in the end, I'm left with 0=-4x-y+1?

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

yaa

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cool. Thanks for the help.

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

welcome
