lcm of 2 numbers is 45 times their hcf. if one of the numbers is 125 and the sum of the hcf and lcm is 1150.find the other no.

product of LCM and HCF = product of 2 numbers. ?

take LCM as L. HCF as H, two numbers as x,y
so
xy=LH
x=125.
L=45H.
L+H=1150.
from this., can you find y ?

you can easily find L and H.

u get LCM=25, HCF=1125
hence, y=225 is the other number.
