A tropical rain forest may be unable to be returned to its original climax community after which of the following disturbances?

This sounds like a multiple choice question. It'd be helpful to see all the choices. Is "deforestation" one of your options?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiple choice responce A . clearing & farming B. volcanic eruption c . flooding after a hurricane

I really think it's A. It's hard enough for a rainforest to regrow, after it's been cleared. But if we used that land for farming, after the forest had been cleared, all the nutrients in the soil would eventually be sucked out. And the land wouldn't be able to produce the trees that it once had, ever again.
