1) y = 3x +2 Answer. We know that y = x is a straight line, so y = 3x is just a longer straight line passing through the origin (0,0) And when it s "+2", we add 2 on the y-axis, so the answer becomes: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=y%3D3x%2B2 2) Since the parallel line is passing through (2,0) We know that it's slope-intercept form would be: y = 3(x-2) http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=y%3D3%28x-2%29 3) No idea.

I still need the 3rd one ):

3) Perpendicular lines have opposite slope, change the sign and everything. So the slope would be -1/3. since we have the slope and a point we can do point slope form which will give us slope intercept form. y+4=-1/3(x-0) y=-1/3x-4 so y=-1/3x-4 is the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There you have your third one :)

Thank you both so much!
