What is the difference between an irrational number and an integer?

A certain computer can perform 105 calculations per second. How many calculations can it perform in 10 seconds?

Integers=.....-9, -8......0, 1, 2....... Irrational no.s= any real number that cannot be expressed as a ratio a/b, where a and b are integers, with b non-zero, and is therefore not a rational number. example =\(\sqrt 2, \pi\)

integers can always be written as a whole number while irrational numbers can not be written as a whole number.
