2^x=4096 i know the answer but i forgot the step how to do them can some one help

to work out x you must do logs of both sides log2^x=log4096 you want x, there are two ways, but i will go with the normal way you have rules for logs but i will assume you know them so i am going to bring the power infront of the log xlog2=log4096 divide by log2 on both sides x=log4096/log2

so my easy way is that divide 4096 by 2 4096/2 - 2048 1024 512 256 128 64 32 16 8 4 2 --------- so than will be the exponent 12 good luck bye
