6 = x + 2 / 3 x + 2 is on top divided by 3 which is on bottom. help please? & thanks.

You want to 'unravel' \(x\) to find out what it is. First, get rid of the fraction. You can do this by multiplying both sides by 3. If you do this you get: \[18=x+2\] Do you think you can do the final step to find what \(x\) is?

yes thank you.
