OpenStudy (phi):

what fraction of the cube's surface is white?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hello

OpenStudy (chihiroasleaf):

how many side with white faces?

OpenStudy (phi):

start with how many sides does a cube have?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, a cube has 6 faces, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so each side would equal 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4 times 4=16=face

OpenStudy (anonymous):

16 times 4=4 faces=64

OpenStudy (anonymous):

64"= 4 square sides so each face is 16", and therefore is a 4"x4" sqaure, which mean that each length is 4", so 4*4*4= 64 cubic inchs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahhh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the volume of the cube!(derp)

OpenStudy (phi):

6 faces. 4 of them are white. 4/6 of the surface is white or 2/3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4 times 4 times 4=64

OpenStudy (anonymous):

l=4,w=4, and h=4

OpenStudy (chihiroasleaf):

ah..., I missread the question yes, then find the volume

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the volume is 64
