hi,i just joined the class and want to know the next step.How do i know if i have missed a lecture?plus the python 2.5.4 is not downloading

For edx you want to go here http://www.enthought.com/products/epd_free.php
For ocw you can use above or go here http://www.python.org/download/

Either way, 2.7.x should be sufficient as long as it is not 3.x or above.

If you really want 2.5.x for some reason you can try http://www.python.org/download/releases/2.5.4/

As for your next step, if you are on edx you find the course content in the 'Courseware' tab. The intro video shows you how to use this platform.

If you are on ocw you choose the course you want and then use the 'next' button on each page to proceed to the next section when you are ready.
