Assuming the cost of cement blocks is $75 per 1,000, how much will it cost for the blocks to build a wall 7ft. tall by 20 ft. long if the block is 6 inches thick and 10 blocks are needed for 1 cubic foot.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

$75 per 1000 what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

per cement ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i suppose i dont understand. 75 dollars for 1000 blocks?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's what im thinking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmmmm... k, one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how deep is it? its 7ft tall, 20ft long, how deep? The width.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just dont understand this question at all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

me either haha

but google does. simple search pulled this up, you know, 12 inches make a foot. thus, 6 inch = 0.5 foot. assume the thickness of the wall to be 6 inches [same as of block], the volume of the wall= 7 x 20 x 0.5 = 70 cubic feet. thus, the number of blocks needed = 10 x 70 = 700. thus, the cost = $75 x 700 / 1000 = $52.5.
