a fresh fish weighs 120 grams and contains 22 grams of protein. after being dried the same fish weighs 31.5 grams.. a) what percentage of the fresh fish is protein? My answer: 22% B) what percentage of the dried fish is protein? I REALLY NEED HELP WITH PART B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It should be the same percentage. When you dry something, all that you're removing is water. The weight will change, but the nutrition will stay the same.

i think i should have posted the rest of the questions c) Why are the two figures different? I think im supposed to have a different answer for B @universitysucks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok well if it is different, then I am ASSUMING that the protein will stay the same. In order to find percentage, you do... 22 ---- x 100 53.5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did we get 53.5 @chandhooguy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh excuse me I meant 31.5
