solve these inequality: 1. ) 5x + (-3) > 2 (3 + x) 2.) 5c + 2< 2c + (-7)

do you know how to distribute?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5x + (-3) > 2 (3 + x) First distribute the 2 to 3 + x. 5x + (-3) > 6 + 2x then you have to combine like terms. So subtract 2x from both sides. -2x -2x ----------------- 3x + (-3) > 6 then I would add 3 to both sides +3 +3 -------------- 3x > 9 then I would divide 3 from both sides /3 /3 ---------- x = 3

Do you have multiple choice answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5c + 2< 2c + (-7) First subtract 2c from both sides. -2c -2c ------------------ 3c + 2 <-7 Now subtract 2 from both sides -2 -2 ---------- 3c < -9 Divide 3 from both sides /3 /3 -------- c < -3
